These flowers are a version of the ones featured in a post of almost exactly six months ago (here). Their green leaves and soft oranges contrasting with the maroon wall caught my eye as I was walking home from mailing today’s box of books and things … back to the big apple! A change of scene (in so many ways!) tomorrow!
A couple things I didn’t notice when I took this picture: the car (drats!) and the fun contrast between the light being on inside the window on the left and the light of the sky being reflected on the window on the right! I totally noticed the near symmetry of the doors and the wisteria, though!
And against such an appropriate palette of colors! Burnt orange, ivory, beige, forest green, maroon … cozy!
Burnt orange, sagey-spring green, and maroon with touches of provencal yellow: the look of a mellow early summer No-Cal California afternoon!
Green and pink/lavender are such great colors together, especially against a maroon background!
Side of brick building on Addison between Oxford and Shattuck– so picturesque, what with the combination of maroons and yellows!
