The Silver Stone coffee and tea sign in this photo has the look of a renovated survival from the 1930s … and maybe it is? There’s also a small cafe called Silver Stone cafe just around the corner. As for the mural above it with all the colors of the rainbow and the words “The Sock,” I don’t know what it’s all about at all!
Hmmm … it does kind of make a person’s eyes look for patterns … maybe that’s something of what it’s all about?
Another nice color combination: pretty red wall lamps casting a creamy glow on a black and white pattern … with hints of pale blue around the edges.
These blossoms aren’t five inches across, but I believe this plant is nevertheless a specimen of Star of India Clematis. Read all about it here. I love the way the two blossoms furthest to the right are diagonally aligned with each other!
Colorful geometries: a yellow rising sun in a right triangle, rows of blue-tinted glass rectangles on the surfaces of what could be … an octagonal cylinder … not to mention the conical cap roof on the turret … all tied together with slightly curving black lines!
Cream, midnight blue, bright green, and black … ahh! A door along the Washington Mews …
Just a sampling of two sections of a building, one entirely covered in the pattern above, the other entirely in the pattern below …
