Symmetry #32

Red brick, arches, anchors, September 5, 2016

The anchors on this building must tell a story, one yet to be discovered by me! In the meantime, I can mention that the building is on Greene St, which, as this site here explains (in the paragraph on the 1810s), is one of a series of streets in Greenwich Village named after generals of the Revolutionary War. The neighboring streets are Mercer, Wooster, Laurens, Thompson, Sullivan and MacDougal.
