Desert goings on ~

The flowers on these tall cactus have come a long ways (compare to here and here) … but I wonder if real flower-like things are ever going to pop out of the long tubular things?

And then this plant below is super interesting: those aren’t columns that the little green leaves are on; that’s the tree-like plant! It’s an alluaudia procera and is a native of Madagascar. The lines of little leaves are also the plant (not a separate vine overtaking it). Read all about here.
