After forgetting to take a picture yesterday, I made a point of getting out into the gardens to explore today … and found this curving cosmos-bordered path–just a very small fraction of what’s out there, of course!
I was so busy about many things today that I never took a picture! So this one is from a few days ago … but the shelf looked the same today … stay tuned to see how the collection grows! In the meantime, note clever decreasing size arrangement 🙂
Lovely botanical illusions like this one have suddenly appeared in trees all over the entryways to the Huntington grounds.
Heading back south after a lovely weekend in Berzerkeley and San Francisco …
Update! I was sitting on the correct side of the plane for seeing the “blood moon” (lunar eclipse) — dramatic!
2009 Chateau Lagrange (Saint-Julien): just right for a special dinner (with lamb!) — and for anticipating a trip to Bordeaux in just a few weeks! Read more about it here.
Back in the sunny (but much cooler!) Bay Area–just for the weekend. What a thing to be able to do!
Winding green vegetation on a smooth white column: such a nice contrast of texture and color!
This little specimen of gothic architecture caught my eye this morning as I was on my way to pick up my bike at the shop where it was getting a spoke replaced. It’s kind of hard to see, but the little wood sign over its door says Thief (!?). It turns out it’s this place here — which also deals in bikes!
Beautiful tangle of some kind of tree … all of its “leaves” are bursts of them!
Yellow and blue, yellow and purple … pretty! I believe some of these (the smaller ones in the blue colander) are limes!
