There are lots of puzzles in this Boomerang: e.g. who are the Rich Relations, what is the “holy city,” and who are Dane and Allie Battles? We also get a couple exciting pieces of news: spring is in bloom (despite the cold), and Eula and Gladice are on their way home (with negative effects on the circulation of the Boomerang duly noted)!  We also get an interesting clue as to where some of the Boomerang man’s photographs might (eventually!) be found in print: in Saturday issues of the Des Moines Tribune circa 1918 . . . intriguing!

  1. Leslie was a cousin, whether of Fred or Mary, I don’t know. He lived SW of DEs Moines, I think in Carlile Iowa. Why The Boomerang Man called it the “holy city” must be in in joke of that time. It would be a real find if his photos could be recovered.
